Rick Mazurowski is currently organist and choir director at Christ Lutheran Church Hilo, and has been a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) since 1972. He studied organ under Mr. Edmond Ladouccur at the United States Air Force Academy, playing the Moller organs there. He has played the organs at St. Patrick’s and St. Paul’s Cathedrals in New York City. He has served as organist and choir director for 33 years in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Hilo. He has performed in numerous Member’s recitals at various chapters of the AGO, and helped recruit and rehearse the 1200-voice choir for Pope John Paul’s II visit to Los Angles. He also was accompanist for several local theater groups in the Los Angles area for musical productions for Fame, Into the Woods, Pirates of Penzance, and A Chorus Line.
Choir practice is on Wednesday, 6:30 P.M.- 8:00 P.M., September - May.
